Organized by year

How do I organize my movies by months or years? I wonder how many movies I saw in 2010 or in March...

Not possible yet but it is a planned feature.

Any progress? More than a year ago I'm waiting for this. Please add a option to sort our collection by month and year. Just a calendar in the left column.

A option like that make lists "2011" or "watched in May" automatic. Another option would be nice is to have the date added for each item as: "Added 3 days ago" and "Added on May 31, 2010" or like here, "Added : 1 year, 1 month ago at Apr 28 23:00"

I think i misread the original post, I am planning to add filtering by year but it would be the year of the movies release not date added to the database.

For this I think there are alternatives in creating a custom list per year (as you have done) or using tags such as 'WatchedIn2011' or 'WatchedIn2011May'

I don't think filtering by date added would be that useful unless it's possible to edit the date added since people add hundreds when they first join or forget to add movies when they saw them.

I will try add an option to display date added on custom lists.
