Ordering DVDs by Title...exclude "The", "A", etc.

I just wanted to give a little idea as a site improvement. I am slowly adding my collections of hundreds of DVDs and I notice when I try to order my DVD list by Title it orders the Titles by including "The"...so for example "The Curse Of The Golden Flower" is ordered under letter T rather than C ...or "A Christmas Story" is under "A" rather than "C"... Anyway I was wondering if the programming of the site can eventually be changed to exclude "The" or "A" when ordering by title?

I concur. Could the same happen with movies aswell? In fact...

Unfortunately this is not so easy to do with the current setup.

That is a bummer...but I do appreciate your response...
Thanks Tom
Thanks Tom

Tom, since you plan on adding a 'hidden' field for 'keywords', for example, to make GTA search result in Grand Theft Auto games, or maybe LOTR keyword points to Lord of the Rings titles, what about adding a 2nd hidden field called 'Alphabetic name', which would be an optional way to set alphabetic name without 'the' or 'a' or even german 'Die' and 'Der'. Then, tell system to use that field, if there is text in it, when sorting by alphabet.

I would also appreciate the option of not having to have my collection of movies and books filed with using the words, "the" and "a". My movies are filed alphabetically and my books (I'm thinking of putting them on Listal), 2000+ are by Dewey decimal. I like to have my Listal lists agree with my home files so I can Lisal to quickly find items to loan them out.
