Opening pictures

I noticed that I cannot open some pictures when I click on the thumbnail. Some open, others just show a blank area where the picture should be. This is happening for pictures on my page as well as pictures on other members pages. I tried a reboot on my computer thinking it was a local problem, didn't help. Pictures on others sites open normally.

Anyone else experience this? I looked for a similar problem being reported by someone else and couldn't find anything.

I also tried opening Listal in Explorer (I run Chrome) and found that the problem still exists, with the exact same pictures. I think it may be safe to rule out the browser. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

@SassyK; I do use AdBlock and I just tried disabling it, didn't help. This problem just started last week, very strange. Thanks for your input! :)

I can see all the images as well, it could be that the domain for loading images has changed recently, this is the direct image url:

Let me know what happens if you try and load directly.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I tried to follow that link and received a "blockpage.cgi (2X1)" message. This problem just began last Wednesday and is getting worse as time progresses. I can literally open only 50% of the pictures posted on Listal (mine and other users) while I don't have a problem on any other site.

I'm not sure which direction to proceed from here.

Also, I'm not sure if this ties in but at around the same time I noticed that the pictures I was using as my profile background image do not show up on my profile background any more. When I go in to edit they are still there, and "save background setting" indicates that it had saved it (a green box appears around the selected picture) but my profile background stays white.

Anyone have any ideas?

If you are getting a block message when viewing that image, it means that whoever you are using to access the internet (e.g. if you are at school, collage or work) is blocking that domain, I can try and investigate why it is blocked.

Today I have the same problem for the first time. Some pictures open and some not. I never had this before.

Some examples:

Of those pictures who I uploaded myself, I can't view this picture:

After uploading these pictures yesterday I could view them once, but today most of those uploaded pictures I can't view anymore.

thumbnails makes it appear that the image had been uploaded correctly, but when you click on it...

will uploads like these eventually fully load or do they need to be deleted?

Yes for some reason I think those ones are corrupted and need to be uploaded again.

For my two cents on this: my problem was the domain was being blocked by my server at work. After a swift kick in the hard drive the problem cleared for good. Tom had diagnosed the problem correctly, in my case at least. Hope it works out for everyone else.
