No More Roleplaying?

I find this a bit disturbing, wait I take that back. VERY disturbing. I understand the randomness of the majority, but some of us actually Role Play here and stay on task. As I said...The Majority doesn't do so, but that still doesn't give one the right to ban Role Playing in total, right? Please, no one randomly speak here I want to make a point and not have it be locked down because and idiot just says "Hi" in here. If you want to post in here, make a good point and either oppose me or stand beside me.

Well, RolePlaying is not banned, it is just... temporarily removed currently, Prlude and the other moderators are trying to get a Creative Corner set up, where RolePlaying can be done orderly and not have a bunch of off-task, godmodding, sucky Roleplayers invading it and spamming messed up Role Play threads

Basically... we are trying to geta group specifically made for RPing and any other form of creativity

Ummmm... Well judging by their current progress and the fact that Tom isn't on too much(or at least, not enough to get something like this done) I'd say... a anywehere between 3 days and 3 weeks... not sure

Roleplaying is not banned. Bad roleplaying. Good roleplaying is NOT just saying "hey any1 wanna fite" and then just petty little "takes out sword" "stabs so and so" "dodges".

If you think you can start an intelligent roleplaying thread, and keep it intelligent, by all means, be my guess. But the odds are not in your favor.

Prelude says "NO more RP thread at listal" followed by "period". Put two and two together.

I tried to allow role playing under guidelines (no random crap, no 'beach resort' take off my bikini crap, no god more I KILL ALL YOUR DEMONS WITH MY NUKE crap) but even good RP threads kept getting ambushed by everyone and their brother's dog. yes, dog can also type '.......' responses.

so to save myself the headache, and to encourage actual discussions in our groups (which seems up a good 300% since I we banned RP threads - coincidence?), until Tom gives you guys a 'creative corner' or some form of private groups (think of PM threads but with multiple contributers), there will be no more role-playing threads allowed at listal.

there, its etched in stone. if it really bugs you, please join a real RP board in the meantime.

and on a side note, having a system crash that caused 3 weeks of data to be lost makes me realize we should all be concentrating on what makes Listal unique on the net, and that is the core of it, the collections, the reviews, the integration of movies, tv, games and books all on one site. Google up anime RP if you really must RP, or keep it in PM (some are doing it now and having a blast).

Anyone who comes to listal exclusively for the groups section is abusing the site.

not going to hear me say this often but I totally agree 100% with Grand Assault.

Lolz, I am glad I havent seen nearly as much stuff as you guys... I only lost about 1000 rate items in total, I just went through the whole Movies section and after page 100 or so I had all movies, same with TV, and Music I jusbrough up Limewire for all the bands that I like, books were a toughy, thankfully most were on the first 40 pages of the Book database

ALso, Thilian posted this before, this is the reason I was confused, at first he says this... which confuses me slightly, but also gives me the idea that he meant good RPing is allowed. but then he starts saying the other posts, which just confuse me more. and with my brain already on overload because it was three in the morning, I got... doubley confused(yes I know thats not a word... but w/e)

You're referring to this thread, eh Yama? Prelude's addressing the Naruts specifically, so you can assume he means bad RP. The reason he made that thread is to point out that their roleplaying in non-roleplay threads doesn't fly and adds an extra mark for spamming.

Roleplaying isn't the core of this website's existence. It only brought babbling bullshit and I failed to see any kind of 'decent' RP on these forums. So stop making stuff up.

I might have started flaming but that isn't the point of this thread, so I'll simply ignore that statement. I'll be staying off Listal for a bit, stuff to do. I might come check once in awhile to see if the Creative Corner is finished, but that's about it. Adios.

if you're leaving Listal because there is no more RP threads, then you joined it for all the wrong reasons.

RSS feeds are available for all lists. Get recommendations based on your item ratings. See what your friends are enjoying, see recent reviews and lists they have made, compare movie, music, book and game similarity percentage with friends. Find people who match with your ratings and meet people with similar interests.

Yeah but I am right though. You are here solely to RP. Every thread you started signifies that, not to mention you haven't wrote any reviews or created any custom lists. Maybe you should be creative there!

Creative Corner should be a privelidge to those who actually work to make this site flourish not the people who wanna forget who they are by creating flawed-enflawed RP Characters.

Come back if you intend to contribute to the websites database. You won't be missed otherwise.
