Newsfeed

Tom, I left a long "rahahahahahahaha" on a friends comments and every newsfeed that follows me has been messed up as a result, is there anything you can do to make it only show the first x ammount of letters instead of words? Or give the option to scroll on the newsfeed like you can on the comments.
