New muppet movie!

Any muppet fans out there? Jason Segel (How I Met Your Mother, Knocked Up) and Nick Stoller will be writing the next feature film. Expect froggy, teddy, piggy, nosy, and mee-mee-mee to break the velvet once again. :)

PS: The first 3 seasons of The Muppet Show and Fraggle Rock are widely available on DVD, in addition to two of many future 'Old School' Sesame Street volumes!

Gonzo's wild. Rizzo the Rat got to me somehow, despite being such a minor character. I also love Piggy (she's a love-her-or-hate-her kind of swine). Grover, Cookie Monster, and Guy Smiley are my favorites on Sesame Street.
I recently got The Storyteller + The Storyteller Greek Myths on dvd-rom. I haven't had time to watch but two episodes. I still need to dive into Fraggle Rock!
PS: Anarchy forever. :)

I absolutely love the Muppets....us real fans know that Bepe the King Prawn is where it's at though. I had muppet baby wallpaper when I was a baby and have been obsessed since. I'm worried though, Muppets In Space was a bitter disappointment since 'Treasure Island' and 'A Christmas Carol'...they should remake another epic.

I forget what Pepe's personality is like. A muppet based off of a prawn sure ain't the weirdest thing to surface in the Henson world.. Cookie Monster and Guy Smiley are my overall favorites, mainly because the short few moments they've been on screen together have been utterly wild.
It's hard to get muppets here other than on PBS at 9:00 AM on weekdays. I don't have cable or satellite, so I watch this stuff primarily on dvds (or VHS, as I still have a number of those). I heard Muppets In Space was hilarious from my older brothers. I remember watching it and being disappointed - if it hadn't been described one way, with me thinking that's how I was going to enjoy it, I would've liked it more. I did see a recent one about Kermit and some frog friends and school disection, though I missed the Whoopi Goldberg special. I watched it, I mean, but I couldn't understand a thing because my oldest brother was blasting Guns n' Roses or one of those bands. I saw the Wizard of Oz special for a moment or two on TV, but stopped watching after hearing the black Dorothy say "Let's go to Oz's shack so he can turn me into a pop star and I can be sexy!" a good dozen times. I've seen some really, really bad muppetry by people who don't know what they're doing. Back when I cared enough to have a television in my room, there were a number of channels based on one thing and one thing only - Christianity - that had the worst ripoff muppet children's lessons ever.
Hey Gemma, what d'you say we put together a petition for a muppet remake of the Lord of the Rings trilogy? Or a recreation of the assassination of Julius Caesar?
