New here...um how do I make a list?

I fiddled around for a bit, but still can't seem to see where I make a custom list? Everything seems geared towards adding items to your collection, but I want to categorize within those items (ie. Lists!). I must be blind.

nevermind, I figured it out...I guess I expected a more straightforward approach on creating a custom list on one page through a few steps rather than me having to add all the items first. The drop downs were slightly confusing as well, but still interesting...

Really the best way to categorize items is to use tags on the collection items.

Is there a way to add certain items that are "new" to your collection. For example, I want to add the Showtime drama "Dexter" to my watched list, but I can't search for it because it's too new? Does it have to be released on DVD before I can add new shows or movies? Thanks..

At the moment the number of tv shows in the system is limited, I am working on this situation this weekend.

If you have the imdb.com number you can add it though. (The add link under Similar users and Recommended)

It would be great if new shows and international film (Basically anything on imdb) could tie into here someday. That's all I've really noticed that is missing from some of my searches.

I've updated the database and most tv shows should be there now.
