New Friends Feature : How the Friends Tab Is Organized

Few concerns with how the Friends Tab is organized. Right now it has all the sections we could want but maybe each section doesn't need to be it's own tab. Too much clicking. I think the way the site is designed gives A LOT for our main pages to be designed like portals. I'm not sure if you already had this in mind but our Friends Tab should be our portal page to everything that's related to our friends. The short and sweet version of course.

When I click the Friends Tab I should see:

01. Recommendations from my friends. Following a link from this section will bring me to the recommendations tab for more details.

02. Latest review (s) from my friends. Maybe show the first few sentences or item information and following a link from here will bring me to the reviews tab for more detail.

03. Currently loaned items. Although I'd like to actually suggest this be taken off the Friends Tab and put under the Home Tab since our items loaned may or may not be loaned to other listal members and this is more of a "general" feature.

04. New friend's requests.

05. My friends list. The simple clean version with maybe a "View All Friends" if the list is larget than "X"

06. Actions. From here I should follow links to edit my friends list, make recommendations, add a friend, etc. Actually if the page was designed like a portal I suggest adding a Add A Friend/Invite A Friend box to the main Friends Tab. I don't want to click somewhere else and go to another page to add a friend.

Damn, I gotta cut this short. I'll come back and elaborate if I need to.
