I gotta start with the praise first: You designed the "Add Friend" tab very well. Very simple to use, I love that I can invite my friends to the site with ease, and I love that my actions (when I requested to add a friend) are recorded.
Now I have a few suggestions but I'll have to save those for another thread since I'm leaving here (work) soon.
I sent myself an invite to see what it looks like. Now to some this may seem like a non-issue. Who cares about the invite letter? I don't know. I think it's important. So I have just a few suggestions:
01. Using personal names instead of our usernames in the invite. For example, "JD has invited you" seems more personal and since we're inviting people we know they may recognize my name more than they would my user name. Maybe this is something that can happen when we get profiles on listal which will probably include a field for our name and then can be used in our invite letters.
02. When I send an invite it's recorded on my Add Friend tab when a friend request was sent. Does anything happen when the user I invited signs up? Will that data on my Add Friend tab disappear? Will it update with their status? Will it turn into a coupon redeemable for free beer at my local 711?
03. Ability to add the friend's name.
04. The invite doesn't do Listal justice. After I better explain Listal to my friends after they deleted the invite I sent them they're like "ohhhh!". I think the invite should be a little more personal and enticing. Example:

JD would like to invite you to join the Listal network! Here you can catalog all your music, DVDs, games, or discover new ones. Manage and share wish lists, write reviews on your favorite CDs and movies, or meet new people.

I just threw that together but you get the idea. I want to invite friends quickly and I'd love the letter to do as much selling for me as possible 'cause I'd hate to repeat myself all the time and I really want my friends on the site.

02. Yes it will disappear and they will be added to your friends list, so I guess you might not notice if you have a big list of pending invites.
03. You mean for the email invite so it says 'Hi xxxx xxxxx' instead of just 'Hi' ?
04. Yeah i did that pretty quickly, it needs reworking, the welcome to listal email as well (when you signup). Your changes look good.
