How do you like it?
"A new Link Items button when 2 items are different releases of same book or music album. Linked items would still be different items but 1 for user compatibility".
To be clear, the "linked" items would stay as distinct items, but they would count as one in User Compatibility.
So, for instance, if you rated 5/5 The Beatles' White Album on CD, and your friend rated 5/5 the same album on vinyl, the site would know that you both like the same kind of music. Now it doesn't.
Same applies for a reprint of a book. The hardcover edition could be "linked" to the paperback, and so on.

10 years, 7 months ago at Nov 6 22:55 - It's a good idea; I don't know how much work might be involved in that, however. I'm guessing a lot. Probably more man hours than they have to devote to it..
