This was mentioned in another thread but I believe it deserves its own discussion!

"If we made it, it isn't a boiler!" I absolutely love the store motto! I fell in love with it the instant I saw it above the door!

For those who don't know, it is a DVD Emporium that sells pretty much anything you want and ever wanted! Best customer service you will ever receive and you always leave with something AND a smile on your face! I bought 10 DVDs for about ยฃ25 which were all rip-off prices on Amazon.

Does anyone know the history of the store? Because i heard it was even older than HMV. They even didn't change their name as times went by. There is no point shopping anywhere else when you have a Boilermakers on your doorstep!

I'm a Brit born and bred. Is there anything wrong with that? I'm not to sure if the chain has gone international yet though.

Pounds are hell more expensive than dollars, and England is such a nice country, I like London very much, but I don't like that it's so heavy populated...

uve been there? what side of the world do u live on?

Not for me. You pay about $50 for a game when we would only pay ยฃ25. Yet our Pound is pretty much double your dollars value, I could go on a shopping spree and barely spend a weeks wage!

I work in London and for me its only 'heavy populated' of a morning and in the evening. I've walked around ona Saturday evening and found clogged streets bare! It also depends where you are in England whether it is nice or not!

BOILERMAKERS FTW!

yes. yes he has. T~T im finally old enough to go places by myself and drive (i prefer walking or riding a bike) and i cant cuz of gas prices and all that other crud
ANBU Sasaki 17 years, 3 months ago at Mar 6 14:05 -
America is said to be 1st place on GDP, but seems as Bush wastes it too fast. By the way I live in the UAE, where the gas prices are rather cheap.

If you love hiking so much, why are you complaining about gas prices? Maybe its polluted because you drive every minute of everyday. Use a bike or a train!

Deleted 17 years, 3 months ago at Mar 6 14:09 -
i do not drive at all, but there are no hiking trails where i live. sure there are wooded areas in my backyard, but its dangerous because of hunters and stuff.
my mom has to drive us about 15 minutes to a nice trail with beautiful scenary..-dreamy look-

Typical of Americans to have no knowledge of Geography. Where some bright colours and the hunters won't bother you? :D

thats not the point. they set traps
ANBU Sasaki 17 years, 3 months ago at Mar 6 14:12 -
It takes us to go up a mountain on a car on a normal road, with falling rocks (very , VERY rarely) about 20 minutes. We have to drive a 10 kilometer long road up and we feel newborn... aaah.... and no pollution at all. Fresh air and shit.

the feeling that nothing bad could possibly happen
being away fron the hrrible noises of traffic
(dont have that anyway cuz the hill i live on is rather countryish)
ANBU Sasaki 17 years, 3 months ago at Mar 6 14:20 -
If you go down on a steep hill to the road on a 4 wheeler, you might feel you drive like light. 4 wheelers are even more dangerous than normal cars.
I always thought 4 wheeler means all wheels turn in the same position.

I remember this one time, in boilermakers, me and my friend were like MAN iv been looking for these 4 DVD's my entire life!! I cant believe i have found them, and the shop keeper, i think his name was Elroy, said i could have them for free if i promised to shop there my entire life! He never knew that my families motto was "Once a boilermaker always a boilermaker" but i said yes anyway. We go there every week instead of church now.

Lol lucky, yeah, In america you could barely get enough to survive on a week's wage, in England you get money worth twice as much as america's money and STILL can do that,
I am a bit Jealous lol... I hate America... I've always hated it, lol explains why I loved American Idiot so much

I loved it when the Transformers DVD came out. Only a month and a half after its release. 2-Disc Special Edition was only ยฃ7, then I had my "Frequent Boiling" Discount Card. That was heaven. I bought my surround sound there too!

I wouldn't be anywhere without it!

Yeah but England isn't a hige wasteland like America. We don't need to drive everywhere to sustain our lives. Walking, biking and using the train are more than efficient ways to get around the country.
