Kairo (Pulse) and Kings Game (Ousama Game) are 2 Asian Horror films which are quite esoteric and mysterious rather than scary or gory and have a strange bittersweet feel about them

Perhaps its the theme of loneliness as people just disappear

by accident I was watching some old 1950s/60s Twilight Zone episodes and came across And When The Sky Was Opened episode which had a similar theme of people disappearing inexplictedly
