Movie Reccomendations: Going in blind

I'm challenging myself to start watching movies with as little info about them as possible. When I think about it, a lot of movies (in any genre) have great plot points and little surprises that are given away in trailers or summaries. It's sort of a bummer.
So I want to go in blind to movies and see how much of a difference it makes. But I still need some direction.
So can anyone give me some good movies? What's some good movies that would benefit from zero background knowledge? Or just your favs? All I need is titles!

Okay Ill give it a go, some of these you might know something already.
-Heat
-Twilight Samurai
-Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade
-Elite Squad
-Rear Window
-Let the Right One In
-What's Eating Gilbert Grape?
-Ip Man or Yip Man
All of these are generally critically acclaimed movies, some of my faves in a wide variety of styles.
If you want some minimum information I can tell you where they were made, their genre or year of release.

Thanks so much! This is great!
@kgbelliveau, I hear some of those are seriously awesome. Though I remember the true life story behind 127 Hours, what an insane story. I will try and be brave and watch it, even though I know what's gonna happen.
@Veed: I've seen Rear Window already, that was phenomenal. And I've heard a lot about Let the Right One In, sadly, but I'm still eager to watch it.
I think the only info I should get is, if any of them would be better on a big screen as opposed to my computer monitor, and if they are the type of movie to be watched at night to keep the mood (scary or thrilling, etc.). Otherwise, just the titles are perfect.
Thanks so much for the suggestions!

All of these are available via Netflix instant watch...
Night viewing: Spider Baby, Thirst, Mother, The Machinist, An American Werewolf in London, Fright Night, Oldboy
Anytime any screen: Mary & Max, Murder By Death, The Big Lebowski, Go, The Majestic, Punch-Drunk Love, The Science of Sleep, World's Greatest Dad, The Motorcycle Diaries
Bigger screen if you can (though I'd argue that all movies are best viewed on big screens): District 9, Moon, The Fifth Element, The Fall (2006 movie)
Good luck!

I can't wait to see some of those, especially the night viewing ones. I'd agree with you that all movies are big screen movies, and someday I'll have a large screen TV of my own (or maybe one of those in-home theaters people have). It's wishful thinking for now, though.
My friend borrowed Moon for our sci-fi movie marathon, I hope it'll still be as impressive on my monitor this weekend. With the others I'll be stricter about where I watch them.

You're welcome! Any of those you enjoy, feel free to drop by my profile & let me know.
I'm working on getting an in-home theater set-up. I've had friends that have them & I'm sold that it's the way to go. So no more TVs for me...saving up for that instead. ;)
