MODERATORS!

PLEASE, Tom! There are these people that come on here, and talk about just random crap! Please either come on and do something, or make SOMEONE a mod! I don't care who!

To be honest I don't think it's a huge deal right now as traffic is pretty light anyway, I don't mind a few random threads. I may create a random chat forum where people can do this.

Have you read the majority of threads lately Tom? It's not random threads, it's threads being taken over by blabber midway through. And it's just getting worse.

I have to disagree. These aren't "hey wuzzap pepol lts talk" people, this are almost grammitically correct people. They are actual people.

Look, if there was a group, and they kept it in that, I would be annoyed, but ok. But they spread, and post like that in every thread, especially Ino. He acts as if he MUST post in everything that he sees even if it's "ok".

I'm going to start boycotting the threads that don't matter, but I'm going to try to save the ones that I still want to go on topic.

You can't censor people for posting stupid threads. This isn't communist china. :) All you can do is mock them and hope they go back to myspace. but censoring? nah. it totally goes against the concept of what internet forums should be.

What about organisation? If you're looking for something of interest within a thread and then see people just having their own little conversation for 8 or 9 posts then it is hardly encouraging. It wouldn't be complete deletion of these posts (unless they were just flame wars or insults), but splitting them off into a general chatter area of the forums would help greatly.

Sure, I may be a bit of an organisation freak, but thats why I'm on this site in the first place! :P

Exactly, tartan! The point is that this site has a purpose to discuss movies, games and books, not just randomly talk. There must be rules.

Of course, before any moderation can be done rules need to be established or those moderating will have completely different views on what should be done. ;)

Guys, I hate to bring this back up, but this is literally and totally retarded. You might have noticed I left for a while. Do you know why? 2 stupid Naruto freaks. I come back, and guess what I find? Even MORE stupid Naruto freaks. And what's worse, NOTHING has been done to stop them. Now I scroll down the groups page and see that Naruto crap takes up half of it, many are the same thing.

Tom, I know you are trying to make it friendly for everyone, but PLEAAASSEEEE! This is sooooo stupid! I seriously came to this site, and was suprised at how high the intelligence level is. People talked intelligently about books, movies, even games! Isn't that what this site kinda supposed to be like? Don't you want it to err more on the side of smart than the side of stupid? I left because everyday, I would log on, and all I could see was Naruto crap, and Ino (who has apparently changed his name, again) crapping up every thread. I was literally driven away from this site because of them. Don't you think that might happen to other people too? And if you just ignore it, the problem will only get worse, as it already has.

I hearby recant my earlier post, as anbu is being VERY cooperative.

But here's a new question: did I miss a chance to become a mod? What did I miss?

Yes, I'm becoming more and more in favour of moderation, each time I log in and see the endless ream of crap on these boards. If it keeps up, I won't be long here, I think.
