Is it ratings that you've lost? or lists aswell?

I just noticed that you and TA were next to each other; I vaguely remember him being a few hundred more than you is all.

Why is TA the only one effected if its duplicates? I think its all those murders wot he done.

I purge duplicates! I don't sleep with them like some members.

I'm not sad like some members who just sit there looking at their points screen changing.

Since the game section is such a fucking mess with all its dupes and versions. Its tiring to go over it again and again. I've contemplated deleting mine and waiting for the Universal Games list to actually be conceived.

All I knew was that I was 13th yesterday and now i'm 18th today. The members in front of me now, had less points than me yesterday.

but yeah, i'd love to see the dupes be treated a high priority.

Its crap like that that me and Thilian (and a few others) try to clean up. Say someone wants to list Screamer. Which one of the FOUR versions of screamer 2, FOUR versions of scream 4x4, FOUR versions of scream, and TWO versions of Screamer Rally does one pick? So we go thru and hide all the dupes (preferably ones nobody has index), and upload and fix up titles of the main entries. But because of all the various names, some with (DVD packaging), some with (BOX), some with (White Label), I dont think there could possible be a way to automatically clean it up, short of making a brand new database entries.

Hopefully automatic merging of albums ISN'T a priority, else there could be some fairly interesting (and by that I mean very irritating) merging going on. Music really needs people who know - or are willing to research - artist's back catalogues to clean it up manually. Having been going through Blur's back catalogue recently, I'm pretty confident in saying it's far too complicated to just merge stuff arbitrarily.

And I can say with 100% confidence that item merging and deleting duplicates will have to be done manually to get it correct. Tom, give us the tools to do it, and a few of us perfectionists will make this site's database perfect :)

I think mine went down too, not sure why though, nothing looks different, but I suddenly have 1000(I used to be something like 14016) points less then usual or so... humm...
