Losing Points

This morning, in my homepage I read my points and clicked on them for the "Points breakdown" page. As I clicked the number of total point was about 1000 less. I mean, there was more than 431700 in the homepage and less than 430700 in the other page. Now even in the homepage I miss 1000 points.
I know that periodically the computer deletes votes from cancelled profiles and that deleting images means losing points. But since I didn't received any notification of images deleted, is it normal to lose all these points or there's a sort of bug?

I wrote something recently to automatically clear a lot of duplicates that is probably the reason.

It seems like the last few days or so my "place" in the points thing froze in place. I think my points are still going up. I just stay at a rank of 722. I don't know why this is, but if someone could help, that would be great.

Your points do get calculated and added automatically, but the system doesn't update the ranks right away. It may take a few days, but sure as shootin', your time will come!

You can check your points by looking at "Most Points Total"

1. Click on the "Forums" tab
2. On the lower right hand site of the page you should see "More Charts"
3. Click on "Most Points Total" and then find yourself

Yes... PK is right. It just takes the system some time to display this on you profile page.

Ranking can fluctuate pretty rapidly so what I assume is that on some random day the system takes a 'snap shot' of those numbers and that 'snap shot' is what gets displayed on your personal information.

The points are updated as soon as you click on your update feed:

But the ranks usually take a bit longer.
