I have been pondering over writing over my own web-based software. However, I recently stumbled over listal.
This is near *perfect*. One thing I would like is the ability to track what I have *loaned* to others.
It would be cool if it could track *who* I loaned it to (especially if it were another listal user, it could showup in their inventory), however, I would be 100% happy with just the added status of 'loaned'.

Until a proper feature is implemented, you could use tags to get a similar functionality.

Yes tags are a pretty flexible system and could be used do this. e.g. you could tag items as 'loaned' and then click on the tag to see all items or tag as 'Loaned to : Name' to track who you have loaned to. I do plan on implementing a full loan system though.
