Is there anyway, we can manipulate the background for items on lists to different colours? As in will it be in a new update?

I want to make a list with certain tiers and I feel the best way to portray this is a different coloured background for item entries.

Could also place a 'Key' option in the Description so people can see which colour corresponds to which tier or classification.

Since we're on the subject of lists ^^, just a reminder on two other good ideas that were floating about.

Bookmarking other member's lists (to keep track of updates) and Grouping lists (e.g. ready, unfinished, other [please specify]).

I want to add groups of lists in the future, not sure about colored background but I do want to allow more html which could probably make a similar thing.

I suggested the same thing many many months ago. Yes, i'd still love to be able to have different tiers in certain lists. Example, all releases in my 'new & upcoming games' list that have a 'TBA' release, flag them with a unique background color. But if we could do it thru HTML code within the list entry, it would also work.

Wont adding HTML lead to ways for people to bug the site? Much like Myspace is full of advertisements and shit which causes messages to be sent out from your profile?
I don't really know much about that kind of thing, but I was advised (when suffering a problem with adverts being sent from my myspace) to remove all the html items on my page. Once I did that the adverts stopped.

The grouping lists idea is a great one, book marking too, as I always forget what I have read.

Yeah the html has to be added in a safe and limited way which is why it's quite restricted at the moment.

Perhaps if there are options to html backgrounds, people could be given instructions alongside?. Countless profiles have the same picture plastered about 100 times instead of just the once. It looks silly really, and unprofessional. It is their profile of course, and down to them but I know I personally don't have a clue on how to do it, so have stayed away from personalizing my backgrounds etc for fear of creating a monster like most other personalized profiles have become.

Another addition, is it possible for other members to see if your lists are Semi-Private? So then they know its not for public scrutiny/ridicule/whatever.

I only make lists Public if I want recognition for my efforts as I'm sure other List Makers do.
