Listal info pls

Hi.
As I just recently joined listal I still have a few questions about the site that I cant seem to find the answers to.
What happens when a list gets promoted? How does a list get promoted? What does votes do?

All answers are appreciated :)

1. When a list is promoted, it gets to the front page meaning more visibility, and more potential votes, and you get 200 points if I recall correctly (it is actually 300 points, just looked it up).
2. To get a list promoted, you need 7 votes when your list deals with books or music or 12 votes when it deals with movies or (half)naked peoples. Those rules regularly changes.
3. A vote first of all means another listal actually appreciate the work you did, the more votes you get, the more your list should be kick ass. For each votes, you get 10 or 20 points, if you get enough votes, it will eventually get promoted, meaning more votes, more points,...
