List Width

The list width has changed, I asked about this when I first saw the preview, and you gave the impression that older lists were protected with 'fixed width' but this is not the case.
Examples:
www.betalistal.com/list/footsteps-of-natalie-portman
www.betalistal.com/list/footsteps-of-tom-hanks
This means that around 500 lists are ruined by needless tinkering with the note area. If this isn't fixed then we'll have no choice but to leave Listal. There's simply no point spending so many hours making lists look as nice as possible only to have them ruined for a second time during a site overhaul, and this time there are many more lists. We added blank buffer images last time, but that was only because the job was much more manageable then, and we didn't think we'd be back in the same position again.
Unacceptable.
Edit after below reply: We'll see how it is at launch, but feeling pretty down about the new site at the minute. Just as you have put in a lot of work with your chosen direction, users have also contributed a lot of time adding lists to your site. They have to come first.

The code to default some older lists to the fixed width style hasn't been fully implemented yet, it will be activated before the beta site goes live.

wow, first time I logged into the new version because I
had a bad feeling - the above list examples are a disaster.
depressing - seen enough except I did do a side by side here:
First portion of profile (scrolling goe on and on):
www.betalistal.com/list/league-extraordinary-woman
old version list was well planned and organized -
new improved version fell on a grenade... even if certain
width or other aspects are protected - the original creator
concept will be more or less destroyed.
if all this change is just for mobile app users -
I think it's a mistake -

I have quite a few issues like
font size and tag placement dominance
my eyes are drawn to the tags as opposed to the description
"Buy at Amazon"? on celebrity profiles?
huge swaths of empty space...
notes on lists have an irrelevant positioning
quite a few other placement aspects but it doesn't matter...
it's obvious this vertical version is for mobile apps -
I had assumed a separate app was going to be created
for those devices not this scaling concept...
I suppose keeping an old version is out of the question...

old version list was well planned and organized -
Can you give specific reasons why the the old version is planned and organized vs the new one?
I am looking at the list in both old and new site ( www.betalistal.com/list/league-extraordinary-woman & www.listal.com/list/league-extraordinary-woman) and the list looks similar in both.
the original creator
concept will be more or less destroyed.
Can you explain what you mean by this?

the right side placement of description and notes is now at the bottom almost as an afterthought - one could say it looks like they didn't know when to end the list -
whereas you don't get that impression on the original version - therefore the concept seems altered and lost - now you have to scroll all the way down if you want to know what the list is about.

oh, my mistake - I see now - you have to fullscreen for the right side to be placed correctly - not something I will enjoy at all! I liked the auto scaling of the old version - this aspect is terrible for me - I resize the browsers so every list will look horrendous to me and will continue to do so as I will not change the way I manipulate browsers on the internet. - aspect disaster for me...

I knew better than to check out the new site... better to just wait and see what happens - do damage control then. Hopefully all these lists will auto scale or whatever and not dump the right to the bottom as is happening now...

Yep, that's what I noticed in Chome with zoom=150%.
The new version dumps the right side to the bottom rather than scaling.

When the browser is resized to below 1024 it changes the layout to a simplified 1 column layout for tablets, I guess I could experiment with making that cut off point lower.
A fix for this might be to use a extension such as this addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nosquint/ or equivalent for chrome which allows you to set per site zooming levels
