List for blog sidebars (javascript)

can you please explain how to explicitly define the number of items to show in a custom list's javascript?

the 'limit=x' seems to only work for standard lists, where the url is somewhat different and will not except a variable on my customs.

i've been trying everything i can think of to get this rocking for me- but nada. can anyone help me out? is there a way to drop a javascript feed link on my blog's sidebar from a custom list with less/more than 5 items?

Nope - just tried and I can't get it to work either. I found there were two different urls for my "Favorite music" list - one had my user id in and one without - depending on whether I find the list by going to "my profile" or the homepage when I'm logged in. I don't think it can be supported at the moment.
