Barry Crocker is a singer but "What a shocker Barry Crocker is just a saying we have down here in Australia. We like to use rhyming slang. Well it's old school Aussie anyways. Every now and then I'll come out with something like that which makes no sense to people who aren't Aussie (even with some Aussies lol). My fiance has no idea what I'm on about half the time.

I watched "America's Next Top Model" two weeks ago, and they went to Australia, were greeted by an Australian model, and everything she said...none of the American contestants understood.

lol..i mean no offence, but believe me, its hard for me to understand even if i am seated on the first table in my class room, he is my alt. electronic music teacher..

I know what proverbs are...I just don't know how:

a) whispering and slips of the tongue are related
b) how that is a proverb

English IS my first language, and I am not making much sense of this.
whispering or speaking low is---mumbling.
a slip of the tongue is, at least where I am from, something completely different---a slip of the tongue is an error in speech.

whispering is speaking quieter. Completely different things.

The different we have are basically regions we are in, everywhere it isnt the same thing taught, respect ur language, but i just typed in what i always was told about.

well, then you were always told wrong:) Which happens. In school I had a French teacher who was constantly making mistakes, and I was always correcting her, which must have been embarrassing for her, but I would rather speak up and be taught correctly, than be taught bad language skills.

I am afraid this doesn't make much sense either. Did you run it through a translator with an English to French setting? And using not the best English first? Because, translated, this is what it says (which doesn't make much sense):

French is an easy language, its just like english, the difference is the pronounciation only.
So many words are similar to english language.

I learnt French in highschool but all I can remember is Merci. Which is funny because I learnt Italian in primary school and I remember more of that...

Dude, English is NOT easy! From what I understand, it is very difficult to learn as a second language.

French sounds so smooth. It truly is the language of loooove......but it does flow.

French isn't hard...and if you can master French, Spanish should be easy (and vice versa).

And yes, there are many words in the English language that are the same in French....doesn't make English easy to learn for a lot of people learning it as a second language---and I have talked to many.

Take Sarosh, who, given the same information over and over apparently took forever to grasp the concept that ALOT is not a word. ALLOT is...but does not have the same meaning as A LOT.

Well, it's not funny when you're being graded on it. LOL.

It's funny when I was being graded on it...I put no effort into learning the actual rules, because I intuitively know how and why things should be the way they are, with grammar, punctuation, word choice, etc.

Learning the rules --- or getting too in depth with the rules --- just messes me up. So, in college, I would just leave my Advanced Composition class (3 hour class twice a week) halfway through when the lessons started, and I aced the test later.

lol..i remember not studying at all once and getting good grades. And when you study soo much, you are not well graded..This for sure is funny :D

Spanish is probably the easiest language to learn. The rules are easy to follow, and everything DOES actually follow the rules.

But back to the whole ad thing, I use Firefox and I've got no ads whatsoever.
