Just a couple question for MODS

DuckNation 9 years, 2 months ago at Feb 16 23:56 -
I see that i have received another warning about my image posting and i have a few questions for mods about the situation.

Now it says im posting the same images as some users i try not to do that even if they are of better quality i just delete mine rather then report the smaller quality ones. Is it possible that i can see what images i had re-posted? Before posting i look through the first 10 pages like it says on the rules so i guess i might be overlooking them.

This is basically what im getting for posting event pictures

Is that even if only 1 picture is uploaded to a gallery from a event by another person is that you cannot upload anymore images from that even unless they are of better quality? then you have to report that image before yours?

I'm not too familiar with your posting activity but apparently you received a lot of previous warnings and bans for this from four different mods.

I can try to explain what is considered spamming on listal and what is allowed.

For example, let's say someone posted a picture of a celebrity standing on the red carpet. You can see the entire body of this person, who is standing with her arms on his/her hips.

Yes, you CAN upload other pictures from this event. For example, you can post a picture that is just of the person's face, or one where she/he is waving at the camera, is showing his/her back (with the face visible), is with another celebrity etc...

Now, if you want to upload a full body shot of that person standing with arms on hips you can't. Because someone already did that. Doesn't matter if the picture is not an exact duplicate. Like if the only difference is that the person is smiling in one and not the other, then we don't need both.

UNLESS yours is superior in size and/or quality. In which case you CAN post it but you have to report the other one as a duplicate.

Hope this helps. If not, I think I'll let someone else help because I don't think I can do better than that.

DuckNation- by all means if you have a better quality image please post it and report the other one. We want the highest quality images on Listal. If you look at an image on here and it's small (less than 600x600 especially) and you can find a better one then definitely post it.

I think compcua explained it exactly how I would have. There is no set limit on how many images can be posted from an event but we'd like to keep that low. You can post different angles but try to keep it to one each. Or you can do 2 face pics if one is serious and one is silly.

Try to make sure the person is looking at the camera when you post and personally, I'd rather see full body than those 3/4 of the body pics where they chop off the feet.

You do a good job posting high quality images, maybe just post less of them overall and perhaps, delete some of the older pics if there are a lot posted.

Im wondering about this

"Also, again IMPERATIVE that you report images when you post pics from the same event. If another user posts images that are from the same day and they post them before you UNLESS YOUR IMAGES ARE BIGGER/BETTER QUALITY YOU MAY NOT POST MORE. I repeat, YOU MAY NOT POST MORE."

So if they post two or even one image from an event at high quality lets say (4000x2000) resolution i can't post anymore to that gallery because those are of the highest quality and i cant report for being lower quality so the gallery is just stuck with those two images unless the uploader decides to add more?

Also i would really like to know about this

"Please, please, please stop reposting images that have already been posted."

What images was i reposting?

If they post one or two pictures only upload new images that are completely different. Say if they do a front pic and a close up of the face, you should only upload a side or back, maybe a closeup of the person where they're making a funny face or a front where they have a different pose. It's fine if they are smaller as long as they are still HQ and they are different than the others.

Again, make sure the person is look at the camera with their eyes fully open. For instance I chose only one paparazzi picture of Candice Swaneopel in NY because every other picture had another person trying to help her dodge the paparazzi and in a lot her hat was covering her face or her eyes were closed or down.

For instance, I see in your deleted images, that you reposted pics of Gigi Hadid from Teen Vogue (I think) that UltimateOne just posted maybe 10 images back. That counts as reposting if you did not report his as duplicates. Yours were only slightly bigger, which is fine, if you report theirs.

I will say that if you post fewer images for each event you are more likely to fly under the radar and not ruffle feathers. There is no set rule for this just make sure that all images are as HQ as available and that they are all unique from what you and all other users have posted. If you don't know when the event took place make sure you look further back in the gallery to make sure there aren't already images posted.

Oh yeah i see the Gigi Hadid pictures he uploaded i guess i just missed those.

Again thanks for all the feedback.

Honestly at this point im pretty scared to post celebrity pictures anymore i don't want to get banned.

Honestly if you're making an effort you will not be banned. If I notice any wrongdoing on your part I will message you. Just do your best.

Also- for instance in Emily Ratajkowski: You posted pics, someone else posted more and then you posted even more. This seems like you're more concerned about getting points than anything else.

Well no i just figured people like model pictures so i like to add those while i stay away from the photoshoot pictures as i know both aprohor and you have a better sources for those images. I do understand what you are meaning by posting more images after someone else posts different images so i will stop doing that.
