John Garfield Petition

Lori3 12 years, 8 months ago at Aug 28 18:37 -
John Garfield was an important and well respected actor during the Golden era of the movies. He was under contract at Warner Bros studios during the same time that Bogart, Cagney and Robinson were. These three iconic stars have box-sets of their films, but John Garfield does not.
John Garfield was an amazing actor, trained in the Method style of acting. He started in many great films. In the 1950's John Garfield feel victim to HUAC and their witch hunting tactics. Blacklisted and under to find film work, he died at the age of 39 due to a massive heart attack. Many feel his premature death was in a large part due to the stress he was under due to HUAC. One month after his death HUAC cleared his name of all wrong doing. Now John Garfield is one of the most unforgotten and underrated actors of all time. I have written an online petition to convince WBs / TCM to put out a box-set of his films for his fans and for his legacy. Please consider adding your name to this petition and give back to John Garfield the star recognition that was so unjustly taken away from him. If you do not want your name to appear, there is a function on the site which will allow you to do this, and all that will appear is "Name Not Displayed" and the state where you live.
Here is the link to the petition.

Thank you.

Didn't John Garfield used to give wet willies to his little brother? In my personal opinion, the public should shun such anti-role models.

Signed. Thanks for sharing. =]

Well I am a little confused about the "wet willies" statement, but I do want to thank you very much for adding your name to my petition, for John Garfield.

I do appreciate it very much.
