item search not working properly

How do I explain this. Okay, so I put a name of something I want to search, a book, let's say, and up come the first page of results. So far, so good. First things that come up are what already on the listal database, but it's not found, so I switch it to search the Amazon database or whatever and it brings up a couple of pages of things. First page works fine. I hit the next page button, it reloads but it doesn't go to the next page or any page after the first one, actually. The first page results are still visible though.
