15 years, 2 months ago at Feb 12 4:57 - I have done extensive work on the new item page since my blog post. This update has taken longer than I though due to extending this work to profile pages for people as well as items.
You can see the update pages here: Item page, person page. The main new features are:
- Ability to instantly post content without refreshing the page
- Simplified structure of popular content on the left of the page, new content of the right of the page.
- Better designed 'popular movies/tv/music' section where you can flip between popular or top rated or recent.
I would like to release this within a week, if you have any suggestions or comments please post here!

15 years, 2 months ago at Feb 12 13:02 - One suggestion I'd have it to make the feed shorter, it makes each page very long! How about restricting the feed list to 15 items or so, then you can expand it yourself by looking at next page etc?
I'd also personally stick trailers under lists and reviews, but that's just me. I take it pressing on those coloured buttons takes you to a new page solely for lists, or reviews, etc?

I will change the background so it fades into a light grey/blue rather than white.

One suggestion I have though is on the item page I'd like to know how many of my friends have/played/watched the item.
So maybe somewhere under Add to list it could say something like:
Add to list: *Watched* Want to watch
Friend status: Watched (2) Want to watch (1)
And then I could click on the (2) and quickly figure out which two of my friends watched it.
This would be especially handy for Books, Games, DVD item pages as I could see which of my friends own something that I might want to borrow.

15 years, 2 months ago at Feb 24 19:56 - You mean disqus? I don't see how that fits in with the item page. If you mean for comments on lists/reviews it would be hard to integrate with the rest of the site e.g. update feeds/notifications etc.
