Issue with Star Rating

I seem to be experiencing an issue with giving star ratings, I put the my ratings in, it then lags for two to three minute period (sometimes longer) before finally taking effect.

Anyone else?

I have a problem rating items with 8 stars. It either enters 7 or 9 stars instead!

This problem seems to be ongoing. It takes around a minute to register each rating. Often seems to worsen after the dreaded internal server error.

It usually appears around the server errors, when the site is a bit slow. Though it does seem to function well most of the time.
