Informal Poll: Book Section - hold or condense

Should we keep the book section like it is or should it be condensed like it's described below?

Condense:
# just one item per book (not lots of different versions of the same one)
# a possibility to choose amoung the different covers of the versions (your personal primary picture)
# Advantage: more similar members based on your ratings (no distinction between the different versions)
# Advantage: a important step to provide editing in future

I think my opinion is obvious ;-)

I want to do this (its in planned features) but allowing people to choose their cover/edition gets tricky. not an easy job but important for this site for reommendations as you mention and combining reviews, ratings etc...

I think this would be a good change and make my collection much easier to compare with my friends. Tom, if you have a little peek at how LibraryThing handles it then maybe you can get some ideas as some peple may want to see all the details of each of their books while still seeing all the main stats for a title too. Their system isn't perfect though, so I expect we could have quite a few improvements over here on the basic idea. :)
