Individual Ranks And Awards

This might or might not be a good idea, but I was thinking of having individual ranks for top reviewers, top raters and such like that. For example if a person has the tenth most reviews, they have it shown on their profile or somewhere.
Another idea I had was awards. Maybe if a person is a certain rank, has a certain amount of something, or whatever, they could get medals or awards or something like that. I don't know, just a couple ideas.
Tell me what you think.

Thilian and I were toying with the idea of having monthly Review/List Competitions. Where the winners would get a Trophy to go in there Cabint which would be placed on their profile. He disappeared and I started working fulltime so we never saw it to fruition.

That's a bummer. It would be cool to see it happen though. Having rewards would be awesome.

Indeed. Recognition is why most people write and create on this website. Those who set them to Public, of course.
It could either be a monthly competition where people enter a piece or be chosen out of the thousands of reviews already on Listal.

Thought we decided you'd get a star or a ribbon on your profile for every 100 voted for lists or every thousand votes or something?

100 and 1000 both sound a bit high. I have not come across a list or a review with 100 votes.

I would definitely like to add these in the future

That would be an awesome feature.

Oooo this is intriguing.
T'would be nice to see my reviewing efforts get more recognition. Slaving over a review for three hours at a time does get pretty gruelling (heh, my Schindler's List review took 5 hours).
Hope this goes ahead.

five hours?! wow that is an awfully long time. I sure hope you get recognition as well.
