17 years, 10 months ago at Aug 23 13:31 - I'm just curious as to whether there's any plans to improve search functions. When I search by an actor's name in "Movies", it defaults to "director" rather than actor.
For instance
If I search for "Michael Cera", I get a link to the profile for
www.listal.com/director/michael-cera
When what I want is
www.listal.com/person/michael-cera
Samething for Gary Oldman, I get:
www.listal.com/director/gary-oldman
When I want:
www.listal.com/person/gary-oldman
It would be much easier if there was an option to search by an actor's name... or if at least when searching in "movies" I could get options for either the director by that name, or the actor by that name.
It's probably been mentioned before, but it's happened so often for me in the last couple of days that it's frustrating.
Or better yet, amalgamate all the professions. Put everyone under "person" so that their directing, acting and music profiles are as one. But I'm assuming that's rather time consuming.. Is there maybe a way you could get some script going so that a select number of users could maybe help out?! I don't know.

17 years, 10 months ago at Aug 24 22:04 - I agree with Voxy, amalgamate. I find it tedeous filling out seperate reviews for the same people if they happen to act and direct, or as was mentioned above, if they have the same name as someone totally unrelated.

17 years, 9 months ago at Aug 28 23:53 - When i first created this I thought it was a bad idea for some reason but recently I was thinking it might be a good idea to merge the pages. I just wondering about the down sides to this, at the moment I can just think of :
- People who write, direct, act and sing will have a lot of stuff on their profiles.
- May create more problems with 2 people with identical names
Good points :
- videos, images and reviews would be merged between profiles.
I am also in favor of this to simplfy things and also will make it easier to allow anyone to add other people from business, politics etc...
