Importing lists?

Is it possible to import an existing list? I already have much of my stuff in lists and if I have to enter everything one by one, this won't be worth my time.
I saw somewhere here that it is possible to import/export but I haven't been able to find a way to do it yet.

Has anyone else done this or can anyone explain or point me to where it explains how to import lists?

There are import options here:

Unfortunately it only supports a few different import formats, what format are your lists in?
