Image Type

Hi! Today I'm here to make a suggestion, if you let me...
I like the option of choose the Image Type when I'm looking for a movie picture, it helps a lot to find the exact picture I want.
So I was thinking it would be really helpful to have that same option when I look for a person picture... Now I'm looking for a close up, but I have to go through a lot of pages of the celebrity on the red carpet, with the family, from another movies, etc
So, it would be nice to have categories for persons pictures too.
Maybe you didn't do it before for a reason, so... well, it's just a suggestion.
Thanks!!

I agree that person pages could use this - even moreso than other platforms. The only thing I can think of keeping this from coming about are:
1) I don't know what the categories would be. Probably would be a good thing to discuss on this topic.
2) We've not had categories for people images for so long that it might be hard to install them for the already-uploaded mass of images.
I still think it's a great idea though.

Thanks for the reply and glad you think is a good idea.
You're right, maybe would be complicated to categorized all the already uploaded images. I don't know how that could be done...
About the categories, I'm thinking of:
(I'm using Brad Pitt for the examples)
FAMILY www.listal.com/viewimage/2045023
MOVIES/TV SHOWS www.listal.com/viewimage/279623
RED CARPET/PREMIERES www.listal.com/viewimage/2022815
PHOTO SHOOT PRODUCTION (I'm not sure if this it's well said) www.listal.com/viewimage/594622
ARTWORK www.listal.com/viewimage/1427077
PAPARAZZI www.listal.com/viewimage/2136225
Well, so far these ones... But everything is debatable, now I'm thinking that the most of family pictures are from papparazies so... I don't know...
Tell me what you think... thanks!!

I will probably add tags at some points to photos.

That's definitely a good way around this. Will these tags be something that anyone can add? I think that it'd be much easier to categorize images if it's not dependent on the one who originally uploaded them.

Maybe pumpkinate's right... because users can put any tag, note how some users tagged certain movies:
"Supposedly A Comedy"
"Directed By Coca Cola"
"Harry Potter Already Did It"
"Waste Of Time & Money"
Those tags are funny (and maybe true!) but not so helpful... anyway you're the moderators here, so it's your call!
Thanks! :D

Yep maybe the tags could be restricted in some way (e.g. they have to be selected from a pre approved list)

There could be auto-complete suggestions for tags to reduce spelling errors and speed data entry. There could also be "Did you mean to use?..." suggestions to suggest tags people weren't familiar with but that others were using to refer to the same thing (Master lists of synonyms could be copied from sites with well-established tagging systems). There would never be total uniformity, though, so it would be good if you could also group tags so that clicking on the 'jdrama' tag would also show 'j-drama,' 'jdorama,' and 'j-dorama' and even common misspellings of words.
