I'm currently writing a novel about lycanthropes but in the 7th chapter I have hit a writers block
and I'm not sure what to do or where to get inspiration from

I managed to write a WHOOOOLE first page before i realised i had no way of connecting my story up from its introduction to its middle and end, i think it will take me years to get beyond that but iv been pondering something for ages, im not even too sure what it is myself yet, but once i figure it out, itl be big! I have the rough idea etc and many characters, but i hate that initial bit where everything is normal and you have to make it abnormal. Once i figure out how to bridge the connection il be away! Iv so much free time writing would be the most interesting way of utilizing it.
Good luck with your book Vince, how long are your chapters? Have you tried reading a few unrelated genres to get yourself some inspiration? Obviously ya cant steal things hehe but it might give you an idea of what you would of done instead etc!

hmm good idea and the chapters them selves are roughly 10 pages long probably more seeing as they have to be full of detail

Cool 10 pages sounds alright, to be honest i was asking to check how serious your writing was hehe. No offense i just thought if ya said "oh each chapter is 2 pages long" id of thought 14 pages and out of ideas?! But 70 pages you are clearly taking it seriously.

yes I am writing is one of my passions I was kinda on and off at september but then I started writing again at january I only stopped because a lot of stuff started to happen as I went back to school.Any help is greatly appreciated I'll even write dedications to you all if you want ^^

Listen to some music, see if you can figure out a story from the lyrics of the song and then let it inspire you. Most songs have a story, but when i try and guess it i always wind up being completely wrong. I guess most of the time if you think you have found a story in a song, you can use it because your not stealing their story (as you'd be wrong if your like me) ya know what i mean?

Im like that too, i said to my fiancée that i wanted to start writing a story and her instant reaction was "Oh can i read it ?!" which of course resulted in an instant "NO" from me. One thing that always puts me off is that if i did write anything someone i know would have to read some of it at some point, and their initial opinion would probably crush any creativity i had left. When she works night shifts im always tempted to sit and crack on with it, i almost did tonight, but time has escaped me yet again and now it is 2:15 AM!

Hehehe, my clocks only "wrong" when i leave work 10 minutes early!
Im definitely likely to write 200 pages and find its all a load of Bull. Which is a shame really, or to find i have accidentally copied the entire plot of something i have never heard of. As DOK said, most things have kind of been done in some way or another.
