I'll recommend to you.

Although I enjoy the current recommendation system. I believe it could be better. I'd rather personally recommend to my friends.

I know there was something like this before but say on the page of a film/tv show theres a scroll down bar with all your friends listed and then you click on their name to recommend it to them. There are films I don't think too highly of but know my friends would love or just to draw their attention to a title!

It could be an offshoot of the 'Want to See' section, 'My Friends want me to see' section. I always look at films and don't see their ratings and know they are missing out and a list like that would help them keep tabs on films or shows or whatever they should be watching/playing/reading.

Sounds like a good idea to me, I know what you mean; when you wouldn't personally rate a film highly but know someone else would love it. Also many films I love I would not recommend to others as they are chick flicks or just really old.

I added this but it's not a seperate list, to keep things simple for now it's just part of the profile comments.

I have made it so you cannot recommend something that is already on a persons list.

I could add this for lists, videos and pictures and maybe reviews as well.

This is good Tom but not perfect.

The fact that you can't recommend something that someone has 'skipped' is quite weird. Seeing as people skip items because they haven't seen them. How can I draw attention to the film they havent seen if it won't let me?

I have allowed recommeding even if the item is on skipped, I might do private recommendations and comments as well in the future.
