If you could resurrect any actor/actress who would it be?
Deleted user

I include performers in this, any thing Listal related really. (Just couldn't fit performers in the title!)
So yes, as it says on the title. If you could resurrect anybody in film/music so they could continue their lives work, who would you bring back?
Part of me wants to say Dermot Morgan from Father Ted, as this is one of my all time favorite comedies (its not even very clever!) But I don't really feel that could be considered a *good* answer.
I also would bring back Bruce Lee, so he could continue to monopolize martial arts movies for another few decades. And more selfishly because I would be breaking my neck to meet him and learn from him in some form!
See my answers are pretty mundane and shitty. You guys will have all sorts of high brow people to suggest, and no doubt I will agree with them too! I must have more than these 2, and if I think of any more il throw them into the mix.
Over to you Listal!

Easy. I would resurrect Heath Ledger so he can claim his rightfully due Oscar for his portrayal of 'The Joker'.

Ah I forgot him. Definitely would want him back, not for his Oscar, so we could see The Joker again!

Outside of Heath, I'd really loved to have seen what River Phoenix would have done with his career. Of course, he might have gone downhill, but he always made interesting choices in films...

I'd bring back James Dean. I'm curious to know if he still would have made an impressive-looking older gentleman. :P
It would also have been interesting to see where he would have taken his life and if he would have continued acting.

I'd bring back TuPac just so I could kill him again.

But he's not actually dead!
:P
:P

i often think that voxy. =P
I would bring back Jim Varney.

I had thought of River Phoenix but as you say Elfflame he could of gone to pot really.
Anyone wishing they could resurrect Eddie Murphy's standards? WEYOH!
I am sure most people in the world would opt for George Harrison and John Lennon so there could be a Beatles revival.
Freddy Mercury so that Queen could have taken over the world.
Then no doubt people would want Elvis and Monroe back, they are quite obvious ones.

the guy who plays dumbledore in the harry potter movies the new dumbledore sucks
Deleted user

I dont think there is really a marked difference between the two Dumbledores. I had to be told it was a different person, even though they look different!
Deleted user

what he 3 inches shorter and his voice is deeper
Deleted user

Yes, I said, even though he looks different, I didn't notice until someone told me. I think people care because they know he is different. He carried the role fine, did nothing worse than the previous holder, and felt like the Dumbledore I read about none the less.
Deleted user

well i though he was different
Deleted user

:) thats fair enough, im not saying you are wrong. Just saying I don't think the new guy is doing a bad job.
Deleted user

he doing a good job it just it odd having a new actor

Richard Harris (HP1&2) is the better Dumbledore of the pair. Michael Gambon (HP3- ) just wasn't who I pictured when I read the books.
Deleted user

Bernie Mac he just died of amonia.
Deleted user

Er Ventruss, I think you mean Pneumonia. Unless he was living in a severely urine soaked house? But thanks for making me laugh my head off for a minute or so!
Deleted user

Oh sorry it's one of those words I don't see to much so I can't exactly spell it but thanks for correcting me. Also your welcome.

lol.. i was thinking the same thing.. hmm, how can someone die of Amonia? lol
ammonia poisoning
ammonia gas may be released from artificial fertilizers or from decomposing manure and urine in slurry pits and silos and cause chronic poisoning manifested by conjunctivitis and coughing, sneezing and dyspnea. May cause dermatitis in animals bedded for long periods on deep litter. Acute poisoning causes heavy mortalities, as in urea poisoning.

Once again sorry. You all know what I meant.

Re: Dumbledore.
Just a warning before I start on my rant. I'm kind of a big Harry Potter fan, so...yeah.
Richard Harris was one of the reasons I watched the films in the first place (the other being Alan Rickman). And he is always the Dumbledore I picture in my head when it comes to the books.
Gambon is too flighty, and doesn't feel like Dumbledore at all. My least favorite scene with him is in Goblet of Fire where he yells at Harry, then basically attacks him. That is not Dumbledore's reaction. I don't like him at all, and I wish they'd gone with someone else.
So, yeah, Harris still alive. I'd vote for that.

Another would have to be The Late Sir Alec Guiness the orriginal Obi-Wan Kenobi. He was a great actor and i wish he didn't though he was, and sorry for how i'm going to put this, old. Also The Late Peter Cushing. He was perfect in his role of Moff Tarkin.

After watching Uncle Buck last night, John Candy has to be on the list too. Legendary comedian, and superb man in general. Such a shame he's dead.
Deleted user

Yeah i would have to agree with RB6K on john candy

If I had the power to resurrect actors,
I would resurrect every single one that has ever passed away (not to mention a few who are still alive),
and form an army of actor zombies to take over the world & sweep the Oscars.
And then, the entire planet would become mine & I would have all of you trembling underneath my thumb.
Plus, every movie that would be made, no matter the genre, under my undead dominion, would be a kick-ass zombie flick.

Oh, how truly mighty I would be!

Why must you all forget Issac Hayes? Bring him back!

Lets See!
Leslis Nielson One... Paul Newman Two... And Charlton Heston Three!

There are so many that died young it is hard not to want to give them all second chance. I will choose Marilyn Monroe. Marilyn showed a ;ot of talent when given the chance. I think she was great in "The Misfits".

Easy-- Grace Kelly. But first I'd go back in time and kill the Prince of Monoco so that he wouldn't be able to steal her from us again.

Conrad Veidt.
He is my all time favorite.
He deserved more than to collapse from a heart attack at a Hollywood golf course aged 50.
Most people know him because of his performance in the film The Man Who Laughs which inspired the Joker character, but there are a number of other roles that he played that were equally, if not even better than that one.
So yup, I'd be all for it, resurrecting master Veidt.

John Wayne and Jimmy Hendricks

Jimmy Stewart, then I'd probably ask him to marry me.
But he did say nearer to the end of his career that he didn't see a place for himself in modern cinema, and I can see what he meant. Today's entertainment is really different from the movies he was in in his prime. But what I wouldn't give to meet him!

James Cagney a truly talented man in many respects, he could act, he could dance and best of all, he never let his profession dominate him. While his fellow actors went to parties or had affairs, he went home to his wife who we was married to until she died.
He was the only actor who could literally say he was on top of the acting world.
RIP James, we miss you.
