How to move items across sections of a list?

I have created a list of around 350 items. I then added sections to the list and by default all the items got moved to the first section. I now want to move some of those items to the 2nd section. One approach could be to delete items from the 1st section and then add them one by one to the 2nd section using the search functionality. Is there any better option to do this?

Note that you can drag & drop from any section to any other. This is what I did for my Ay! Campari! list - At least until 2 days ago. Since then it shows the drop, but the sections don't update. Don't know if it's a problem with my list or with the d-n-d functionality.

OK, the drag and drop functionality isn't working anymore, at least not for my list (www.listal.com/list/ay-campari). I'm trying to drag from the 1st section to the one titled "2008 Calendar", the thumbnail disappears after the drag, but the item counts don't update. If I visit the 2008 section, the added item is not visible. Going back to the main section again shows the item there. Do I need to fix something or is this a bug?
