How do you rate actors and actresses?

by their looks (beautiful,handsome,sexy) or by their performance/acting .

I confused, some actors are very good looking, but the acting is not good.
Sometime I want to rate for just ... Oh he's cute! Does it makes sense? What about you?

I only consider their performances.

Based on their acting and if they fit the role.

With a few exceptions, the performance. I don't think someone's hotness has much to do with rating them as an actor/actress. Do they have to act to get your attention? If watching, say, interviews of them is equally awesome and amazing and everything, then it's not about their talent.

That being said, I'm aware that I find it harder to find fault in some performances because the actress is such a joy to watch.
