how do you publish a book?

With only forty pages left to write in my book. I was wondering if anyone out there knew how to publish a book?

Write to all publishers, or go down the self publish route via Lulu.com or similar!

Self-publishing is better. I self-published about 15 books and it's more beneficial. Might want to check out fotr.net or midatlanticnostalgiaconvention.com as there are authors there (lots of authors) and they have contacts and you can even shake hands with the publishing companies and work something out. I had five books published that way through hand-shakes, later contracts. (This advice comes from a professional author.)

You can easily publish book with the help of some online books sites.

Absolutely get yourself an agent first. They run defense for you and give you pointers for revision and rewrites. But finish that book first and polish it several times before you seek representation.
