How do I fix public lists not being visible

Deleted user

I was looking at my lists from my wife's machine & noticed that two of my public lists are not showing at all, while semi-public lists are visible. I have tried changing the visibility to private or semi-public and back to public, but that didn't help. How do I fix this?
The lists in question are:
www.listal.com/list/can-i-buy-u-a-drink
www.listal.com/list/glamourous-in-glasses

The odd thing is the 2nd list does have some votes, so some people can see it I guess. Fix ideas are welcome.

Both lists are set to "Mature Content". As a default the Mature Content filter is turned on and you can not see those types of lists unless you change your personal settings.

OK, understood the issue. Thanks - Appreciate the replies.
This prompts two questions:
1) How can I tell which images are causing this to happen? The images themselves don't have any tag to indicate this. I can understand the restriction for the "Can I Buy U a drink?" list, but I'd rather keep the other one more open, if I just have to remove 4 or 5 images from it. In fact, I'm confused as to which image is causing it in the "Glamourous in Glasses" list - there doesn't seem to be any nudity, just bikini-clad pics, so it's rather puzzling as to why this list is marked mature. Answers/Pointers would be welcome.

2) This is not automated, right? The settings page for the list says it's moderator set. So if I remove the images, this won't reset automatically or will it?

Thanks for the help.

Any nudity or glamour model/porn star images can make a list suitable for a mature content filter. Looking at the "Can I Buy U A Drink" list I can tell you that www.listal.com/viewimage/3096330 www.listal.com/viewimage/2109525 www.listal.com/viewimage/2701798 and www.listal.com/viewimage/1859240 among others would be enough for me to place the filter on for this list. It does not state it on the photo or in the gallery at this time. Just the fact that you used a porn star (even if she's fully clothed in the photo) is still right on the line.

The other list (which I already voted for and like by the way) this www.listal.com/viewimage/2417945 and www.listal.com/viewimage/2687182 come to mind.

If you would like to update the lists and send me a PM when it's completed I would be glad to take the filter off. Not that it matters but I would like to point out that I didn't set the filter in the first place. There are many more lists out there that are far worse than these.

Hmm! Thanks for the insight. And I'm not blaming you, BTW.

I understand the point of why - but the lack of ways of finding this out beforehand is an issue IMHO. I mean, some images you see in other lists and add without checking out who the person is (i.e. porn star). And you also don't know that the list has been NC-17'ed. The drink list, since it refers to drinks, is fine as Mature. The other one was curious. For 2417945, I looked up the profile and it's not too clear that it's an adult one, even looking at the images. A lot of the Victoria Secret models have even less decorous pictures. :-) So an indicator or a moderator set tag on the images would be of great help here.

And I'll PM you as suggested. Thanks for the help.

I suggested that individual images could be flagged as "Mature", so you would know which images are kosher in a list for everybody, or are not :)
Of course, pics contrary to Listal rules should be deleted anyway.

Well, the rules are like a hammer - too blunt. A lot of the models do model pics with partial upper body exposed and these are seen on so many places on the web. IMHO, these pics fall in the gray area of being approp/not-approp. Marking them as mature seems better than deleting them entirely. Ofcourse, porn like images should be deleted since that's not what Listal is for, but otherwise giving users some discretion seems better.

As always, this is a personal opinion/suggestion for the moderators to consider.

Well, if they are not allowed by Listal posting rules, they are not allowed by Listal posting rules. Therefore, they should be deleted anyway.
I think there are too many trashy pics on this site already, and I wouldn't want more of them.
The "Mature" flag would apply instead to those images which *are not* against the rules, but for some reasons are not "family friendly".
Just my 2 eurocents :)
