I honestly think the best film won, that was The Hurt Locker

Many found it hard to believe or desliked the fact that "The Hurt Locker" deafeated "Avatar" in almost every category, most important of all being the best movie.
Well I don't know if the movie is accurate with what happens in Iraq or how the soldiers work out there on the field, but I know that this movie has a great story, stunning visuals and sound work and the outstanding performances and the team interactions. I honestly think it was the fair winner, maybe 6 oscars was a little too much, but there was no real competition... What "Avatar" is, is an outstading visual and cinematic experience, but if you look beyond that, it's nothing new nor extraordinary, and I'm a huge fan of James Cameron and consider he has directed some of the best movies I've seen.

Why don't you mention any of the other Best Pic Nominees? Is this just an Anti-Avatar rant?
Isn't Hurt Locker just Jarhead and Three Kings mixed together? or many find it easy to believe that way?

Perhaps an Up In The Air steal or the cast and crew of Inglourious Basterds on stage at the end of the night would have been cool, but The Hurt Locker is a very deserving film. And Kathryn Bigelows win was awesome and I cant argue against the awards The Hurt Locker took home

Recently watched Hurt Locker based on the hype and it was shit. Very disappointing film, think Avatar was robbed to be honest, out of spite.

Hurt Locker was good but it really drags in the subplot involving Renner's character seeking revenge for the killing of the boy in that town.

Thank god avatar didnt win anyway. Guess i should get around to watch hurt locker.
