Help needed with exporting RSS

Dazza 18 years, 9 months ago at Aug 2 10:35 -
Hi,

Can anyone guide me through how to successfully export my data? I've gone into the "Export" tab from "Home", and when I right-click and save on "movies" I just get 12 lines or so (file is very small - about 500 bytes), and when trying the "dvds" file it brings about a tiny 110 byte file that contains only an error code. What should I be doing? Thanks in advance for any help.

Dazza.

I fixed the problem now, movies will be blank because you haven't listed any movies.

Is there any way to escape an ampersand '&' and single quote ''' in a tag? The rss export chokes when it hits and ampersand and single quotes don't seem to work at all (you just get a blank where the single quote is when you try "you're" in a tag.

I think I fixed this as well! Let me know if you find further problems.

Thanks, Tom -- I just tried exporting my DVD info and it worked perfectly.

Nope. When enter 'you're' in a tag as in "you're under arrest" what you see when you click add is: "you re under arrest" (escaping (\) it doesn't work either)

An ampersand no longer crashes the rss export. Progress, cool. Thanks.

I thought you were talking about tags with quotes in the rss feed, anyway I will look into that problem.
