The main thing you should be doing is adding items and rating them to fill up your collections, because that is what this site is there for. If you're not doing that then being a member is a bit redundant.
Your rank will be more than 0, but it hasn't been updated in a while (mine for example is 2, not 4). If you want to find yours properly then you can browse through the "People" to see how far in your currently are. It can be a little tiresom counting back pages through if you're not on the first few.
