What have you broken this time?

Onion Jack 10 years, 4 months ago at Jan 6 20:29 -
Loading times are on the rise, internal server doom, and general frustration... rewind please :)

And here I thought it was just me and my internet. They keep telling me it's not all about me but I never listen.... ;)

the same thing for me i thought it was my internet and i even did some speed test of my internet... listal is too popular and the server can't handle it anymore especially during the week-end. : )

I'm getting a "critical error" every time I try to click on a picture thumb
DuckNation 10 years, 3 months ago at Jan 29 10:50 -
@burnodo yes im also getting that its a server thing im sure Tom will have it fixed in no time its been like this for the past 7 hours for me

here is a old thread on the same thing www.listal.com/topic/critical-error-has-occurred
Iceviper 10 years, 3 months ago at Jan 29 11:04 -
Same problem on my end every time I try to open any picture; "A critical error has occured (144.191.148.3) This error has been logged and will be dealt with asap."

I was wondering if anyone else was getting this, I guess I'm not alone.

This site really needs sorting out, there are issues most days now, mostly with slow loading... it really is starting to grind. Perhaps work should be focused on performance instead of on big ugly social media buttons.

Just a thought, feel free to ignore.

I have been doing a lot of work recently on site performance, unfortunately it really isn't one single issue there are a lot of things that need improving. I think the site performance has actually improved quite a bit from a couple of months ago.
Onion Jack 10 years, 3 months ago at Feb 4 16:49 -
I'm not sure whether I agree that it has improved, but then we can be guilty of living in the now, and having a good old moan about it, "Why isn't this page loading before I click the button to make it load?", "Why haven't Amazon delivered the DVD that I thought about ordering yesterday?", you get the idea...

...anyway, things have been pretty poor this last while, quite a few internal errors and much slowness (not at this exact moment though, which is nice). I understand that it can take time to improve, especially when it is all being done by one person, and I'm sure that you have a real-life away from this, but it can become extremely frustrating for us lot when things are perhaps being a little temperamental.

Anyway, time for me to jump back in... wish me luck ;)

Like everything else, there are good days and there are not so good days. Overall I think it's gotten marginally better over time.

I've really enjoyed the improved Listal this weekend, it's been much better than the times when it worked.
