Guitar Hero 3

Not lovin' it much.

The level of difficulty is way too dynamic. I had a hard time defeating "3's and 7's" by QOTSA and "Raining Blood" by Slayer, but I five-starred "One" by Metallica on the first attempt. Also, the final Battle against Lou is nearly impossible.

The new Battle mode feels like an afterthought. You only fight three people in Career mode. It's better against another person, but even then it's not as fun as Pro Face-Off. And all of the bonus songs are either foreign or very difficult (looking at you, HIM). There are a lot of awesome songs, but there's also a LOT of strumming.

I started the game out on Expert. I think I've five-starred most songs except for some on the last two tiers. I can't beat that song by HIM because I don't strum fast enough, but I can beat Through the Fire and Flames with three stars.

My career score is about 8 million.

Anyone else feel the same way?

Well...I finally beat it. My score is 9,234,000 :)

I've yet to beat it on expert, for the same reason you just said. Some songs are really easy, and some are killer hard. And I'm actually pretty good, I beat 1 and 2 on expert my first time around.

I had no problem beating Guitar Hero I & II on expert, but I can't even beat GHIII on hard... :(

You're right, man. I mean, I just started playing a little while ago. I'm still on easy, and I can ace or at least do well at some of the songs, but then at others, it's almost impossible....for me that is.
