'Groups'?

Can someone please explain groups to me? On my profile page it says that I am not a member of any groups, but clicking the link just leads to this area, which appears to be a just a forum.

What are groups and how do you become a member of them?

Well, have you been on in a while? because they changed groups from what they were at first to what they are now, your page should update eventually, maybe by posting in the groups a bit, or maybe Tom will fix it for you when he gets on

I signed up a couple of years ago, but didn't really get going until last month. I'm slowly working out how each aspect of listal works, but it's taking me a while because there would appear to be no organised FAQs, wikis or instructions.

So presumably, being a member of group just means posting in a forum thread? Not a group of members with similar interests, as in Facebook, etc?

There used to be groups on the site, they have been removed but may return. At the moment that box doesn't do anything.
