Godfather trilogy

Question. Why is this IMDB item, which is a DVD compilation of all three godfather films, considered a seperate movie in listal, and not put into DVD section instead?

Apparently the imdb entry is for a edit of all three films combined into one long film including deleted scenes.

Yeah, someone thought it was a good idea to re-edit the trilogy into chronological order for some reason. Did Coppola have anything to do with this, or was it purely a studio affair?
