Games of your childhood

Mackenzi 10 years, 9 months ago at Jul 5 17:27 -
Browsing reviews on GoG.com and I find a lot of comments like "As a kid this game was my world" and "this game defines my childhood." Do you have any games like that? Please share!

For me: Spyro the Dragon, Age of Empires, Quake and Unreal Tournament, Ratchet & Clank series, and SSX. Those I played at my grandma's house with my sister and cousins, we were a little gaming troupe ages 6 to 10, and we all still play video games today.

Super Mario Bros. 2 (NES), Duck Tales (NES), Little Nemo the Dream Master (NES), Saturday Night Slammasters (SNES), Street Fighter II (SNES) and Rock N Roll Racing (SNES) were probably the games I played the most as a young'un. The SNES games were usually also played at the house of two of my best friends, so I got double time in with them. There are plenty of others, but the six above definitely got the most time.

I played a lot of Pokemon, Zelda, Mario, Super Smash Bros, and Kirby. Pretty much just a Nintendo guy during that time until later on where I play anything from any console I have.

TMNT the arcade game (arcade via ChuckEcheese and birthday parties), Super Mario Bros. 3 (via a friend's NES), Alex the Kid (Sega Master System), and later Sonic 2 (via a different friend's genesis) and Super Mario Kart (SNES, I borrowed this game from a friend and never returned it, oops). Actually, I still have that Mario Kart cartridge so if you want it back, Drew, just let me know.

Like most of you guys, probably, I was addicted to FFVII when it came out. My taste in games has totally changed as an adult, though.
