Gah, YouTube embeded videos no longer work

So, along with the other embedded elements that were disabled. YouTube videos also took the ax.
Any ideas of a work around?

I can use the Listal code
Code:
Which I guess is simpler since with theYouTuble share urls don't allow for adding vidoes. Alas, this means I can't change the size of the video :(
Any thoughts on changing the size?

[youtube id=0u-oRNKDXzY]

Thank you for making this thread, jaytoast. After I lost all the embedded videos on my lists that had videos, I couldn't have got them back if not for your information here.

I was wondering if it was possible to change the size of videos as well.

@Quote Unquote I hope that there is a way to exclude YouTube from the embedded element ban. I'm sure a lot of members woke up to an unpleasant surprise that there lists with videos are blank. However, I think that trying to exclude YouTube might be a coding nightmare.
@phillydude I have tried every possible html/Listal variation of sizing 'code' and haven't found anything that works. I think we are just stuck with the non fancy 'youtube id=' code for now.

Well that'll ruin most of my music lists as well as several others. And I'm not inclined to go through the trouble of fixing them all any time soon (especially given how many videos I've embedded on numerous lists). This is especially annoying as the "Copy" button on videos uploaded to Listal still shows the old code for embedding videos, which means that won't help either.
Would be nice if someone can come up with an easy fix. If nothing else I guess I'll just have to go through and provide links to videos, though that's not as visually appealing. Sigh.

If it is any help at all...
Code:
The code "6oqXVx3sBOk?" is the YouTube identification number in the old embed code.
Then you can insert that into:
Code:
Ya, that is still a pain in the ass and I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that Tom figures a way to exclude YouTube from the embedded ban.
Code:
<object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="www.youtube.com/v/6oqXVx3sBOk?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="www.youtube.com/v/6oqXVx3sBOk?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

Yep. Given that YouTube has so far been allowed on here, it'd make sense to exclude it from the embedded ban.
Thanks for the code help. :)

Was wondering what the fuck was happening.
All of my "Looking forward to" lists have trailers in them, dating back to 2009. No fucking way I'm going back and redoing them all. What a pain.

And what's up with the image codes changing, too? I started out with the usual image codes, then the URLs changed to incorporate "i2" instead of "image", and the latter wouldn't work anymore. And now the old image code is completely defunct on my reviews, leaving me with about 500 reviews I'll have to go and individually doctor and insert an entirely new image code. Sheesh.

Can you post an example of a review where the images don't work?

So what is the new code to post images?

Thanks, Tom!

Is it me, or is this not working again? I'm attempting to put the embed code for a video into one of my lists but it just isn't working.

Use the code in post 2, it works fine :)
...and why do you have such a low rank if you make lists? Mighty odd that one! ;)
