LoginFriends - New function

17 years, 4 months ago at Dec 20 17:19 - Hi, I believe a good new function with Friends or any other user would be the ability to compare lists between me and any other person, with the possibility to choose to show only the differences or the equalities in both lists or categories I choose.
This will be very helpful for the people that has very many items, this way we can find stuff that we may like to have, more easily, for example I could search people by the compability (using the new way I suggest in another post), and them ask to show what this person have and I don't.

17 years, 4 months ago at Dec 20 17:25 - The recommendations links (under 'Recommended' and then 'View' on the profile pages) will show you things you do not have on your lists yet. There is no way to view items you both have but I would like to add this.

17 years, 4 months ago at Dec 28 0:26 - I would love to see comparisons on the wanted lists also ... both different items and repeated items among friends, it would allow to set up movie sessions. Also the ability to see which movies on your friends list you own or have seen ...

Tom, I think what people are basically asking for in these threads among the glitches and things is more database-style unity between items and other aspects of Listal. If everything was connected in such a fashion then the creation of multiple friend comparisons would just be a mechanical process of making an attractive page for it and incorporating the database. You seem to be working on a few of the important things currently (the item page, moderation tools), and this seems to me your top priority for mastering Listal - to connect items and their owners tighter and as webbed as the world wide web will allow. I'm just curious as to how much of a database this website is already in the connection of things, and if adding to this will take an overhaul of how the site works or simple additions to what we have.
