Foreign characters not displaying properly

This item displays the artist's name as Múm, but it should be Múm.

I thought it might be that you need to set the charset to UTF-8, but the proper character works here so that's not it.

To add to the confusion this displays right :

I'm not really sure what the problem is exactly

I just added this one and the ú displays fine.

I've had a similar problem in the past. A new version of MySQL had come out and they'd changed the default collation to Swedish if I remember rightly. When my host upgraded it caused all kinds of problems with stored characters that had previously worked. I had to change the collations for the db and each table to UTF-8, and then run a find and replace for the broken characters.

No idea if this is any use to you!

Well this site was set to utf8 encoding before but a few days ago i changed it to default as Amélie seem to work with that.

I also changed all the database columns to utf8 recently.

I think I will just updated everything from amazon soon and hopefully that will sort out any problems.

Haha, yeah it's working properly now. The one I just added isn't though and the track listing is mashed too.

You can get a working one from here if you want to edit it.

I swear charsets are the most annoying thing ever!
